What a brilliant way to memorialise your dad. I feel as if I knew him by the end of that. He was only a few months younger than me and had packed so much into his life, you must be very proud. Thanks for sharing your memories with us, Johnny. So precious.

Thanks! It was cathartic for sure. I cried through the entire eulogy to be honest.

Dear Johnny my good friend. What a touching piece!

I love the photo at the end of you next to your father. A father-son bond is a very special one. And we can see the love and admiration you have for each other in your eyes and smiles. Very heart-warming, I must say.

The cover photo you chose shows the unmistakable resemblance between you two, naughtiness, grandeur, and all.

When my father passed, I also had to write the eulogy, in French mind you which was a challenge for me given the sophistication of the language. Infused humour and stirring anecdotes are always a must.

Let the strength of the father-son bond live on with you and your own son, regardless of distances or challenges or whatever fate perniciously throws in your way.

God bless you my friend, and may your father rest in peace knowing he left remarkable offspring behind to fulfill his legacy.

Love you brother!

What a beautiful man, Johnny. A celebration of a life well-lived. As my brother said at our darling dad’s memorial (who’s pictured in my avatar here!) loosing him was one day of goodbye in a lifetime of hellos. It sounds as if your daddy, too, had a lifetime of hellos. Sending you healing wishes.
